From Above “Summer Library” at Gallery EF in Tokyo

Some photographs of the From Above exhibition at Gallery EF in Tokyo. A small selection of new portraits of hibakusha, atomic bomb survivors, from Hiroshima and Nagasaki are being exhibited for the rest of the summer. Copies of my book are also on display for everyone to look at.

Ms. Taira-san was a nurse for Dr. Nagai, who became famous for tirelessly treating many atomic bomb victims immediately after the bomb was dropped.

Mr. Yoshitoshi Fukahori

Mr. Yoshitoshi Fukahori visited the exhibition opening at the Nagasaki Peace Museum.
Mr. Fukahori was 16 years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. He has dedicated his life to collecting photos of the damage created by the atomic bomb so the future generations will not forget the horror war causes.
